The Gamma Delta Chapter, located on the beautiful campus of Murray State University, is a chapter full of rich history and tradition.
Founded on May 15, 1938 after a petition by the Murray Mens Music Club to become an official chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. However, the Mens Music Club ran into some trouble when the check written to pay their chapter fees was cold. To correct this, the Club decided to host a musical production in which they titled'Campus Lights.' The revenue from this show was used to recover the Clubs debts.
Campus Lights, which is still an on-going tradition in the Gamma Delta Chapter, is now in its 72 year of production. It is the longest running student only production in the southern United States, with rehearsals starting the first week of January and the performances happening the last weekend in January.
The Gamma Delta Chapter is home to over 1,200 initiated brothers!
